The Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) announced on January 11 that their units had killed four Turkish-backed militants and injured eight others in a series of new operations.

In an official statement, the Kurdish guerrilla group said that the operations took place in the southern part of Afrin and near the town of Marea in the Turkish-occupied part of northern Aleppo on January 9 and 10.

The group released three videos showing its fighters ambushing a Turkish-backed militant riding a motorcycle, sniping two other militants and targeting a forward post with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM)

Most of the slain militants were fighting in the ranks of the Sham Legion, the Hamza Division and the al-Shamiya Front. The three groups are key members of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA).

The ALF stepped up its operations in the northern Aleppo countryside last October in the woke of the Turkish invasion of northeast Syria. Turkish-backed NSA militants led the invasion on the ground, occupying dozens of Kurdish-majority towns and villages..
