You can tell by the look on his face he wasn't expecting them to drop a grenade on him. Sad. Unfrotuanly he was fighting the russians. Thoes mindless animals have no problem with desecrating the dead.

yes but why not try to run away at usain bolt speed insteed of playing dead, like dosent he know a drone has a camera that can zoom?

на видео видно, что скорее всего ему прострелили ногу, поэтому он не смог бы убежать

In the video he looks to be bleeding from his leg. Looks like he was injured. Maby from the drone watching him or maby in another recent engagement and couldn't run so he decided to pretend to kill himself and hope that the russians watching are convinced and leave him alone. Thinking that maby at night or after they russians leave, he could try to slowly make his way back to some friendly lines who can help him out? Just my theory.
